Bjoin Limestone Inc. is a local family owned and operated business.

We were founded by Howard J. Bjoin and his two sons, Michael H. Bjoin and Paul R. Bjoin. In 1978 we purchased 40 acres of land from Gerry Arneson. We then stripped the topsoil off and did some test drilling to find a deposit of limestone. Our quarry was then started with 1 dump truck, 1 John Deere end loader, and a Hammermill lime grinder. We originally focused on grinding agricultural lime and spreading it on our local farmer’s fields. We then began to grow and diversify into custom crushing, trucking, excavation, and installing septic systems. Five years ago we open a quarry in New Glarus with limestone products to sell in Green County.
